Chloe Hood has been selected as one of the three finalists at the forth coming Sports Awards. Please see her nomination below…
It’s been a fantastic year for Chloe. She has competed in two British Championships. One being her own age category Youth (u17) where she won Gold and by an impressive margin; And the other being the British Juniors (U20), an exciting competition with plenty of tactics being made by her coach, a nerve biting contest with 1kg difference between the top three lifters, Chloe maintained focus and composure to win the Silver medal. In this competition Chloe Snatched 66kg and Clean and jerked 81kg. Chloe still has a few years left in this age category.
In November last year Chloe competed for Wales in the Celtic Nations and won her age category. She was selected again in June this year to compete in a European event, Austria and performed with great commitment and desire to win Gold.
Chloe has actually lifted enough weight in competitions to qualify for National Senior events throughout 2018. She holds a staggering 40 Welsh records in age groups higher than hers.
This year, Chloe was extremely close to qualifying for Great Britain representation at Youth level, being under the same age bracket next year she stands good chance of making GB selection.
