Indy Singh from the British Army, based at 14 Signal Regiment (EW) Brawdy, trains regularly at SAW and competes in Powerlifting. Earlier this month he competed in Malta in an International Forces competition. Indy lifted extremely impressive weights and RAW.

Simon roach added ‘RAW means without assistance from any special competition clothing which can add increased weight to personal bests, even up to 30-40kgs. Moving the weights that Indy lifts is tremendously remarkable especially as being RAW”

Indy’s competition lifts were: – Squat 250kg, Bench 150kg, Deadlift 315kg, All competition PB’s. This secured an impressive 715kg total in the 100kg body weight category. When compared pound for pound to other lifters on the day, he had the best overall Deadlift and Total; And second-best bench and squat

Indy has just begun a new demanding training programme which will see him compete in December at a qualification event for next years British. Goals have been set to hit PB’s of 270kg Squat, 160kg Bench Press and a 325kg Deadlift.
