Alex John has taken a break from competing, concentrating on conditioning and studying for A levels.
Earlier this year, Alex qualified as a Weightlifting Technical Official. He has officiated in a number of Pembrokeshire events and last weekend he officiated at his first Weightlifting Wales Age Groups Championships. Alex receives support and guidance from Pembrokeshire’s International officials Darren Rogers and Stephen Donovan. He is becoming a very proficient and knowledgeable official.
Alex is the youngest active Technical Official in Wales and is keen to officiate in both Weightlifting Wales and British Weight Lifting competitions.
Alex will be officiating at the next Welsh Open Championships, a two day event, which will be held at Bangor University.
