Let us introduce you to recently appointed Funding and Networking officer Mark Bond.
This is a crucial position within the organisation, elevating the inclusive ethos at SAW. Raising funds to support the local community to access activities and networking with third sector organisations promoting and encouraging groups, charities and services to become involved in the organisations health, wellness and social prescribing activities.
We asked Mark a few questions and here’s what he had to say……
“I’ve spent most of my life coordinating projects that engage people and bring about positive change.”
“I’m hugely proud of my Pembrokeshire home and have been blessed to lead on some wonderful projects that have benefitted a wide range of people….that’s why joining the SAW family was so appealing, there’s such a lovely atmosphere among the people there and while we’re small we have massive ambition.”
“I’m delighted to have secured some very meaningful funding already that means we can up-skill and develop our amazing volunteers and also offer free sessions to Pembrokeshire carers.”
“I’m looking forward to engaging with our communities to prove the demand for more bespoke sessions…especially for those people who really deserve that extra bit of support or encouragement to access the opportunities that SAW offer.”
