At Strength Academy Wales we successfully organise a number of programmes.

One of which is our volunteer programme.

Our organisation has educated and provided guidance, support and work experience for over 20 volunteer coaches and technical officials.

Our development programme allows volunteers to gain both a level one and level two National Governing body Weightlifting award, World Para Powerlifting coaching award, National Governing Body Technical Official awards both for Weightlifting and Para Powerlifting.

Both coaches and Technical Officials attend first aid and safeguarding courses and are enhanced DBS checked.

We provide mentoring and opportunities for new volunteers to gain experience both at the centre and at local and National events in Pembrokeshire and across the UK.

As a group of volunteers, we meet to share good practice and experiences; and regularly review the work we do.

We are extremely grateful to a number of organisations which fund our programmes, especially Sport Wales and a number of local organisations.

Please contact office@strengthacademy.wales to learn more and to sign up to our volunteer programme.
