In April, Pembrokeshire Weightlifting volunteers set up and managed a fantastic entry level competition for local clubs. The 22 youth lifters from Pembrokeshire, both from South Pembs WL and SAW, some competing for the first time, gained great benefit from receiving supportive coaching not only from Pembrokeshire coaches but from the National Governing Body. The South Wales Weightlifting Talent Squad also competed in this event.
There was a great turn out of spectators encouraging first time lifters and also some outstanding performances from the more advanced youth, junior and senior lifters. An enjoyable and encouraging day
