More exciting news…. Five lifters from SAW have been selected to represent Wales in the Celtic Nations tournament, which will be held on the 5th November at Bangor, the Welsh team will consist of 16 athletes and they will be competing against the top weightlifters from Scotland and Ireland.
Selected from SAW are Louis Thomas, Alex John, James Hart, Niamh Roach and Chloe Hood, they are all lifters are in the Welsh talent squad and have been training extremely hard over the summer following an excellent team performance back in July at the Gemau Cymru competition.
Coaches Simon Roach, Justin Head, Naomi Pearce and Jim Horner have been working hard to prepare the weightlifters for this tournament.
