Congratulations to the Pembrokeshire Weightlifters who have been selected to compete for Wales at the forth coming Celtic Nations. 

Being held on the weekend of the 26th October, the team will travel to Dublin, to compete against Scotland and Ireland.

Also representing Wales are technical officials Darren Rogers and Stephen Donovan

And Simon Roach as one of the Welsh coaching staff

The format for the event will be made up of male and females at U17, U20 and Senior age categories. 18 athletes in total from each country. There are no body weight categories in this annual competition, all Sinclair points are added together to create the team scores and the country with the highest points wins.

The Celtic Nations plays an important part in the Weightlifting Wales development programme, providing lifters with excellent opportunities to compete at higher levels.

The Celtic Nations is a historic and notable event, spanning back 50 years. It’s a fantastic competition between Wales, Ireland and Scotland
